Christmas time is definitely among us! Almost hard to believe that Christmas is only three days away. A lot of us are hopefully done or nearly done with our Christmas shopping. I just have a few more people to shop for myself. Some of us, on the other hand, probably haven’t even started yet. And that’s okay! I’ll admit that that was me one year. Plus, I tend to be a procrastinator from time to time (a habit I kinda picked up in college). Anyway, for those in need of a last-minute Christmas gift idea, I’ve got a few suggestions.

My first idea: gift cards. If you just don’t know what to get someone, you can’t go wrong with a nice gift card to their favorite restaurant, movie theatre, or app store. But try not to go too cheap with it. Show them you care, but at the same time, don’t drain your bank account!

Hey everyone! Just thought I’d check in to see how everyone’s doing. Things have been a little crazy in our country (pandemic, politics, etc.). One thing I like to do in these trying times is to just block all of that out (no matter how hard it may be) and bring out the positivity. And there’s no better days for that than the holidays. We just had Thanksgiving a couple of weeks ago. I’m sure we’ve all had a lot to be thankful for.

Besides sharing what we’re all thankful for, what is the main thing that comes with the celebration of Thanksgiving? A nice big feast, right? You know what I’m talkin’ about! Turkey, ham, stuffing/dressing. And don’t forget those beans, greens, potatoes, and tomatoes (you name it)! Now that Thanksgiving’s over, some of us are probably still trying to shed those extra pounds of food. Am I right?

So I decided to give this site a new look. It was kinda starting to look a little too ordinary. And I finally needed to make it look like it’s truly mine. What do you guys think?

As some of you guys may already know, I’m a musician. I love to teach, perform, and write music. It’s been a big part of my life since I was about 4 years old and there’s nothing (other than my family and future wife) that makes me happier.

Something that you guys don’t really know about me is that my favorite color is green. I definitely had to have a green background for this site.

So I hope you guys like it! I might be experimenting with the site’s appearance every now and then. Don’t be too alarmed if something looks different from time to time. It’s just me “trying something new!”

Happy 4th of July to all my fellow Americans. Proud to celebrate another year of our country’s independence. Even in the midst of this pandemic and divisiveness, we can still hold our heads high identify as proud citizens of the USA.

I know a lot of people have plans to have cookouts and even set off some fireworks today. But I wanted to remind you all of a couple things. One: Like I said before, we’re still in a pandemic. PLEASE take care of yourselves! If you’re feeling under the weather, then do yourself and your family and friends a favor and stay home! For the sake and health of yourself and others. Hey! How is everyone? Hopefully doing well with the state of the world today. There’s so much going on from COVID-19 to racial divide to economic stress. As some who cares for his health, is an African American man, and an educator, I remain positive because I know that all this will come to pass! And I want you guys to feel the same! We’ll get through all of this. I know we will!
