Music is a major part of my life. From teaching it, to writing it, to performing it. And something that I really enjoy performing is song covers. If there’s a song that I really like, theres a 9 out 10 chance that I’ll do a cover of it. But not a vocal cover; a saxophone cover! Don’t get me wrong. People have told me numerous times that I’m a good singer (former 4-year member of the Marshall University Chamber Choir). I’m just way more of an instrumentalist. And hopefully, you’ll see and hear just that when you hear these cool saxophone covers!
“Chandelier” by Sia: One of my favorite songs by one of J’s favorite modern-day pop singers and song writers. Listen and see if this cover will have you “swing from a chandelier!”
“Hail Holy Queen” (from Sister Act): In this cover, I did my very first experimentation with multitracking. And I chose perhaps of of the most memorable tracks from the movie Sister Act to cover! Click here to find out more!
“Amazing” by Hezekiah Walker: I give multitracking another shot and covers an amazing, uplifting song by one of the most popular gospel artists. Read more right here!
“Lift Every Voice and Sing”: Another multitack cover of a hymn that that represents unity, liberty, and justice. Click here to read on!
“Heaven” by Mary Mary: 16 years later, this is a song that is STILL a hit for the Christian duo. A big part of the reason why I did a cover of it. Read about it more here!
What do you guys think? Not too shabby, huh? These covers can also be found on my Facebook Page. And If you liked those, you’ll like some of My Original Music. From jazz to classical to electronic, there’s something for a lot of people to enjoy!
